Introducing our new Delft collection in partnership with renowned interior design studio, Sims Hilditch. Inspired by the changing seasons of the English countryside.
When two brands with a shared love of craftsmanship come together, something quietly beautiful happens.
That’s exactly what unfolded in our latest collaboration with renowned British interior design studio Sims Hilditch.
The White Hart collection was born out of a mutual appreciation for the enduring charm of Delftware that unmistakable hand painted style known for its rich blue hues, painterly detail, and timeless appeal.
For both Marlborough Tiles and Sims Hilditch, Delft represents more than heritage; it’s a way to bring storytelling and artistry into the home in a way that feels both classic and deeply personal.
As Emma Sims-Hilditch puts it: “We knew straight away that we wanted to create a new Delft collection – it’s something we both adore, from its rich history and bold colour to its truly timeless aesthetic.”
Nestled in the Cotswolds countryside, the Sims Hilditch studio, The White Hart, is surrounded by nature in all its changing moods. From spring tulips to wintry frost, these quiet seasonal shifts became the heartbeat of the collection.
“We love the seasons as they change, spring, summer, autumn, winter, they make us feel different,” says Emma. “That was one of the key inspirations behind this collection. Each tile reflects a different moment in the year, creating a scheme that feels truly connected to nature.”
The result is four distinct motifs, Tulip, Wild Strawberry, Oak Leaf, and Mistletoe, each hand painted to capture the mood of a particular season, and each telling a gentle story of British flora through subtle brushstrokes and delicate line work.

The White Hart collection is made up of 11x11cm rustic terracotta tiles, available in two base shades: Chalk White and Antique White. Each tile is painted in a unique take on traditional Delft blue, which we call Rosalind—a soft, graceful hue developed to complement both period and modern interiors.
Each motif is available in a choice of layouts: corners only, circle border, or diamond border, allowing homeowners and designers to create anything from a simple detail to a full decorative panel.
Tiles are priced at £38.25 per illustrated tile, or £7.20 for corners only.
Kirsty, our lead hand painter, carefully applies the Tulip in Circle design from the White Hart collection onto raw glaze at our Marlborough factory.
At Marlborough Tiles, we have been handcrafting tiles in the heart of Wiltshire for more than 85 years. Every tile in the White Hart collection is painted by hand in our factory using the traditional Majolica technique, in which colour is applied to the raw glaze before firing—allowing the brushstrokes to sit softly on the surface, full of life and movement.
The result is a collection rich in depth, warmth and texture, where no two tiles are quite the same. It’s this quiet imperfection—this celebration of the handmade—that gives the White Hart collection its soul.
The White Hart collection will make its official debut at WOW!house 2025, showcased in the Courtyard Room designed by Sims Hilditch. This light-filled, characterful space will bring the collection to life, offering visitors a first glimpse of how these painterly designs can transform a room.
“We imagined the tiles in a country kitchen, a utility or boot room, even a bathroom with classic brass fixtures and soft linen curtains,” says Emma. “They add character without shouting—like little works of art, quietly woven into the fabric of a home.”
At its heart, this collaboration is a celebration of British craftsmanship, creativity, and a shared belief that a home should tell a story. As Jamie Robb, owner of Marlborough Tiles, reflects:
“The White Hart Collection was such a joy to design with Emma. Sims Hilditch and Marlborough Tiles’ aesthetic suit each other so well, and we both deeply appreciate true craftsmanship.”
Whether used to create a striking splashback, an elegant panel above a sink, or a subtle decorative detail in a utility room, the White Hart tiles are designed to last a lifetime—not just in durability, but in relevance, charm, and emotional connection.
