Introducing three stunning new collections on our handmade rustic biscuit
At Marlborough, we are known the world over for our devotion to our craft. We have been perfecting our processes and fine tuning our knowledge for more than eighty years.
Today, we are launching three new collections; a total of thirty-two extraordinary colours on our new rustic, handmade artisan tile. These collections embody decades of expertise, experimentation and passion passed down across generations.
Each tile is individually crafted with a great deal of care, time and attention. The highest quality clay is hand pressed into a frame, creating a thick, characterful tile body with rough edges and an organic finish.
Our glazes are mixed using age-old methods from our bank of raw pigments, expertly combined to create precise nuance of shade. The glaze is then poured directly onto the tiles, pooling across their contours to create wonderful tonal variation.
This process results in natural, beautiful imperfections. No two tiles are the same, and each one brims with character — telling the story of how it was made.
Unique to these collections are three timeless hand piped relief designs: Ettie, a wonderfully intricate vintage pattern; Margot, a pretty, petal motif; and Clara, a fluid wave design.

Halcyon
Our Halcyon collection is made up of eleven charming, beachy tones inspired by memories of childhood summers spent on breeze-blown English seashores.

Ullswater
The Ullswater collection is made up of twelve harmonious heritage colours that bring to mind the scenic landscapes and misty romanticism of the Lake District.
Kensington
Our Kensington collection is inspired by Victorian England and is made up of nine jewel-toned blues and greens. The stunning depth of colour across this collection is created using traditional Victorian glazing techniques, such as adding cobalt and copper oxides.
