Ordering

The best place to see our collection of floor and wall tiles is in our showroom in Marlborough, which is open by appointment on Tuesday-Thursday, 10am-4pm and on Saturday, 10am-2pm. To plan a visit to our showroom, please make an appointment. If there is something you are looking for in particular, then please call ahead to check it is available to view. Our full collection can be viewed online. If you would prefer to order samples before you make an in-person visit, you are able to do so through our website.

If you are interested in a specific collection or product, please mention this to our team when you  make an appointment  to visit our showroom and we'll be able to advise on availability.

We recommend that you use our tile calculator that is available on every product page in the top right corner. Simply enter the dimensions of the space, and it will calculate the amount of tiles you need with and without wastage. Alternatively, you can  email us  your measurements, along with photos of your space, and we can help you calculate the quantities needed.

We would be delighted to discuss your upcoming project. If you require guidance on colour, design or practicalities, please get in touch by visiting our showroom in Marlborough or emailing us for more information.

Take the widest points of your space horizontally and vertically (for wall tiles) and multiply them by each other. Alternatively, you can use our tile calculator, which is conveniently located on every product page.

For example, if your space measures 2.5 metres horizontally and 3.5 metres vertically:

2.5 metres x 3.5 metres = 8.75 square metres

We recommend double checking your measurements with your professional tiler if you’re unsure or contacting us by email.

We recommend you allow 10% for wastage, but this could vary depending on the surface to be tiled. If you’re unsure, please check with your professional tiler or  email our team for more information.

Please note that our tile calculator allows you to select 10% wastage.

You can place your order online, in our showroom, by  email, or over the  phone.

We appreciate that buying tiles is a big decision that you’ll need to consider carefully, so please contact us and a member of our friendly and helpful team will be delighted to assist further.

Products

As a result of our artisanal production and glazing techniques, some tonal variation should be expected in both our floor and wall tiles, which we try to reflect in our product photography. The surface undulation of our tiles may vary too, and tiles may not be perfectly square.

We recommend that tiles are removed from their boxes and laid out by eye, prior to fixing. Where relevant, mix tiles from different boxes during this process.

As a general rule of thumb, please allow 1kg per 8m2 for rectified tiles. A 5kg bag of grout will cover 40m2.

For non-rectified tiles where your grout joint is 3-5mm 2-3 5kg bags for 40m2.

Yes - all of our glazed tiles are suitable for use in bathrooms, wetrooms and showers.

Whilst typically used for flooring, our porcelain tiles can be used on walls too. Typically between 0.6-0.9cm in thickness, they can be used to tile spaces such as wet rooms, showers and fireplaces with no issue, looking especially good when used as a continuation from the floor or hearth.

Porcelain is hardwearing, durable and waterproof.

We craft our tiles with a great deal of care and attention, and hope that they will become a treasured part of your home for decades to come.

To ensure they stand the test of time, it’s important that your tiles are properly installed and cared for, no matter where they are in your home.

Our customers sometimes call to tell us that their new tiles are making little noises, even a week after they were put up on the wall. We tell them it’s just the tile singing, and explain what’s happening: the beautiful crackle glaze they chose is still crazing. You can read more about this fascinating process in our journal article.

Delivery

We are happy to serve customers outside of the UK, and regularly ship our beautiful tiles to customers in the USA, Europe and Australia. Please  email us with the details of which tiles you would like, and how many, to place your order and arrange delivery.

So long as you have paid for your order, we can keep it for you for up to four weeks from the date it is ready to leave our factory, and deliver it on a day you request.

No, our prices don’t include delivery charges. Please see our standard charges  for mainland UK.

However, remote areas, including Scottish Highlands, Grampian and Islands, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Scilly Isles, Isle of Wight, and Northern Ireland, require a price quotation for delivery.

We are a 'just in time' manufacturer, which means we don’t hold a large amount of stock. However, as our wall tiles are made in our Wiltshire factory, you will never normally have to wait more than two weeks, and in many cases delivery can be sooner. We do hold stock of porcelain floor tiles, but if we are out of stock the lead time is approximately four weeks. Handpainted tiles are made to order, and typically range between 4-8 weeks lead time depending on our current workload.

Up to date information on current lead times can be found here.

In the unfortunate event that the products you receive are damaged, please email a photograph of them to us within 72 hours of receipt, prior to fitting your tiles. Our customer service team will guide you through the next steps, and ensure that a replacement is sent to you as soon as possible.

Returns and refunds

We regret that we cannot accept returns of sample tiles.

While we want you to love every tile as much as we do, we understand that sometimes things just aren’t quite right.

Once your refund has been processed, please allow up to 5 working days for it to show in your account. For more returns information please see our Returns page here.
