Introducing our exquisite hand-piped decorative tiles. Three unique patterns, in your choice of almost thirty beautiful heritage colours. Each tile is made with a great deal of care, time and attention, piped by hand by artists at our studio in Marlborough. Our methods of production mean that no two tiles are exactly the same. Each one brims with character, telling the story of how it was made.
Make a real impact by using these tiles in panels, for example above your range cooker. We also love to see them used in a row above a sink, to add delicate handmade charm. You might also choose to dot a few through a panel of plain tiles in the same colour to add visual interest.
A wonderfully intricate, vintage-inspired pattern, handpiped on each individual tile for a unique, textured effect.
The gentle undulations of this pattern will bring serenity and movement to your walls, with a lightly textured surface that is wonderfully tactile.
A pretty petal motif that will breathe life into your space, adding interest and lively texture to your walls.
The process
To create the patterns, each stroke is piped by hand onto the raw unglazed biscuit of the tile in thickened engobe, also known as 'slip'. The process is a sight to behold. While Kirsty is too modest to say so herself, we can tell you that achieving the delicate, smooth, even lines on these tiles takes real artistic skill and a deft hand. Each piece is truly a work of art.
