Our proprietary Crackle Glaze Sealer forms a clear odourless barrier which helps protect porous tiles from penetration by water, dirt, oil, grease, lime scale and other commonly found household contaminants. It is ideal for use on crackle glaze tiles and grout joints.
One tin will typically provide 5m2 of coverage.
How to apply crackle glaze sealer:
Sealer should be applied before making any cuts or grouting your tiles. Either seal them all before applying to the wall, or seal complete tiles once on the wall, and a handful of loose tiles separately that can be cut and stuck to the wall afterwards.
Use a soft, dry cloth to buff the sealer onto the tile. Apply to glazed areas only, such as the front and any exposed glazed sides, such as the top. As a general rule, if you can see the edge when tiling is finished, seal it.
Leave to dry for 2-3 hours and buff off the residue with another clean, dry cloth. Repeat with a second layer.
