Colette in Charcoal features a delicate vintage pattern reminiscent of the intricate ironwork of those exquisite Parisian balconies, perfect for early morning people-watching and evening aperitifs. Each tile is painted by hand in a nuanced soft grey tone that will complement both traditional and contemporary interiors.
This 13 x 13cm tile features a crackle glaze finish and undulating surface for a classic look. The hand painted design can be painted onto a bright, Chalk White background, or an off-white Antique White background.
HOW TO USE THESE TILES
These hand painted wall tiles shine in kitchens, hallways and bathrooms alike. Go maximalist with edge-to-edge coverage, or use them to create a striking panel above a range cooker, surrounded by plain white tiles. For a classic look, you might use them as a border above a dado rail, paired with plain tiles from our Contemporary Classics collection. Or make a statement with floor-to-ceiling tiles behind a clawfoot tub. Magnifique!
CREATING A SCHEME
These tiles pair beautifully with:
Light wood and antique silver hardware (though they look beautiful with most finishings!)
Your choice of plain coloured tiles from our Contemporary Classics collection, available as 13x13cm squares or 13x6.3cm bricks.
Neutral tiles in Antique White or Chalk White from our Contemporary Classics collection, available as 13x13cm squares or 13x6.3cm bricks.
Paint colours such as Farrow & Ball’s French Gray, Treron and Worsted as well as Little Greene’s Serpentine, Tracery, Sage Green, and Livid.
Grout: we recommend a 2kg bag of grout for each 2.5m2 of tiles laid when applied with 3mm grout spacing. Wider spacing will require more grout.
All of our crackle glaze tiles require sealing to protect and maintain their unique finish. We recommend sealing with our Marlborough Tiles Crackle Glaze Sealer. For further information and guidance, please refer to our Care & Maintenance page.
It is important to choose the correct adhesive for the area being tiled. Refer to our guidelines for more information.
For areas like bathrooms and outdoor usage, please get in touch with our team for more information about the anti-slip rating of our floor tiles.
